The Halfmoon Crew Behind Your Roofline Lights

Our company plans and fits LED lighting that lives on your roofline in every season, controlled from your phone. We care about clean lines and tidy wiring, and when weather harms a run, we photograph it and write it up so your insurer gets a clear picture.

A small company focused on one kind of work

We are a lighting contractor based in Halfmoon, and our work is permanent exterior lighting for homes. That means low-profile LED channels mounted along the roofline and wired to a controller you run from an app. The lights stay up all year. You pick warm white for ordinary evenings, color for the holidays, or a slow fade for a summer gathering, and you never climb a ladder to do it.

Most of our effort goes into details you notice later. We match the track to the color of your fascia or gutters so it nearly disappears in daylight. We measure each run so corners meet cleanly and the spacing between lights stays even. Wire is routed out of sight and away from the spots where ice and snow collect, and the power supply goes somewhere it can stay dry.

We also help when something goes wrong. Upstate winters bring ice dams, heavy snow sliding off roofs and falling limbs, and any of them can bend a channel or knock out a section. When that happens, we inspect, photograph the damage, note the likely cause and write the repair up as a line-item estimate you can share with your insurer. We explain how the process usually runs, but we don't act as your adjuster or tell you what will be covered.

How we work on your home

  1. 01

    A free quote, in writing

We walk the roofline with you, measure, and talk through where the lights will sit and where the power will come from. The quote lists footage, the controller and any extra work as separate lines, so you can see what moves the price.

  2. 02

    Photos before promises

If you call about damage, we look first. You get pictures of what we found and a plain answer on whether a section can be repaired or should be replaced.

  3. 03

    Care on the job

We set ladders on pads, stay off fragile roofing where we can and fasten into trim rather than through shingles. Packaging, clips and wire offcuts leave with us at the end of the day.

  4. 04

    Straight talk about insurance

Storm damage may or may not fall under your policy. We give you clear documentation and a fair estimate, then leave coverage decisions to the people who make them.

The towns we cover

Halfmoon is our home base, and we put up permanent lighting in the nearby towns too: Clifton Park, Malta, Mechanicville, Niskayuna, Latham, Troy, Cohoes and Watervliet. Local houses range from older colonials with deep eaves to newer homes with long, plain rooflines and attached garages, and the shape of each one affects how we lay out a run. Not sure if we come to your street? Ask us on the phone.
